Our commitment

Since its creation, Pieds Nus has stood alongside the most vulnerable people to improve their living conditions and build a better future. In Tanzania, particularly in Zanzibar and Kigoma, we run essential humanitarian projects that lastingly improve everyday life for local communities.

Our goal: to lastingly improve people's living conditions and offer new prospects to future generations.

What we do

  1. A worker at the bottom of a well under construction, among timber beams and red earth

    Action 1 : Building wells

We build wells to make drinking water easier to reach. To date, Pieds Nus has contributed to 112 wells in Tanzania: 101 in Zanzibar and 11 in Kigoma.

  2. Pupils in front of the water point at Kipampa school in Kigoma, with its three taps

Action 2 : Schools, children and orphanages

We support schools and disadvantaged children, and we help orphanages.

  3. Volunteers handing out clothes to children in a village in Zanzibar, near the beach

Action 3 : Food parcels and meals

We distribute food parcels and meals.

  4. Boys in white traditional dress holding balloons in front of a house in Zanzibar

Action 4 : Goats for Eid

    We distribute goats for Eid.

  5. Colourful buckets and basins lined up near the water point, residents gathered around

    Action 5 : Micro-projects

We fund micro-projects that help families become independent.

  6. Laughing children and teenagers holding balloons in Zanzibar

Action 6 : A youth centre in Zanzibar

We are developing a youth centre in Zanzibar to support teenagers who have dropped out of school, help them re-engage, and create solidarity exchanges between young people.
